Claudine Hamel-Desnos MD, a specialist in vascular medicine, is currently a consultant at the Groupe Hospitalier Paris Saint Joseph (GHPSJ) and at the Institut des varices in Paris.
She is a past president of the French Society of Phlebology, treasurer of the Multidisciplinary Joint Committee of Phlebology and of the European Board of Phlebology for the UEMS (European Union of Medical Specialists). She has been practising, for many years, ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy and endovenous thermal ablations, methods for which she has been particularly involved in training, clinical research and international publications (including several RCTs).
She is an honorary member of the French Society of Phlebology, the Swiss Society of Phlebology, the Canadian Society of Phlebology and emeritus fellowship of the Australasian College of Phlebology.
