Basic information and principles of superficial venous disease will be presented and discussed for new learners, and as a review for experienced practitioners.
AM session: Learners will be able to identify normal anatomy and understand pathophysiology of veins. They will become familiar with indications for treatment, identify those needing ultrasound guidance or other imaging modalities, and will understand the hemodynamic changes associated with venous interventions.

Anatomy and Physiology of veins,
Duplex scanning and other imaging,
Classification and Scoring systems for superficial veins (CEAP, VCSS QOL etc),
Conservative measures (management of risk factors/ compression/ venotonics, etc,),
Indications for treatment (clinical exam, HASTI symptoms etc),
Ultrasound guided techniques (when and how to use them),
Venous hemodynamic changes after varicose vein surgery,
