Dr Paul K Thibault MBBS FACP. Treasurer, International Union of Phlebology.
He has worked in the fields of Phlebology and Cosmetic Medicine since1988. In 1993 he founded the Sclerotherapy Society of Australia and was then Founding President of the Australasian College of Phlebology (ACP) in 2000.
Dr Thibault is also Associate Editor of the international journal, “Phlebology”. He has written many peer reviewed articles in medical journals in the fields of cosmetic medicine and phlebology and has contributed to major textbooks on venous diseases. Dr Thibault is known for his pioneering work in the non-surgical treatment of varicose and spider veins, the use of duplex ultrasound to assess venous disease, the technique of ultrasound guided sclerotherapy to treat major varicose veins and dermatologic laser treatment for superficial vascular and pigmentary disorders. His recent research has been the diagnosis and manifestations of chronic cerebrospinal venous obstruction which includes the management of rosacea and other chronic illnesses.
