Dr. Pınar Borman has graduated from Ankara University Medical Faculty and received her PMR speciality from Hacettepe University Medical Faculty Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR). She has been Associate Professor in 2003 and Professor in 2012. She has received her PhD in 2011, on Algology She is a certified (Norton School of Lymphology) lymphedema specialist and also certified kinesio-taping practitioner (CKTP). Her interest areas are cancer rehabilitation, lymphedema/lipedema, pain medicine, and geriatric rehabilitation. Professor Borman is founder member and chair of Turkish Lymphedema Association. She has also formed Hacettepe University Lymphedema Research and Practice Center in Turkey and was head of it till 2020. Dr. Borman is the representative of Turkey in International-Lymphedema-Framework International Board. She is the founder member of International-Lipedema-Association (ILA). She is also a member of International-Society-of-Lymphedema (ISL) and European Society-of-Lymphology (ESL). She is the head of Cancer Rehabilitation Special Interest Group under Turkish Society of PMR and a member of Cancer Rehabilitation Special Interest group of International Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ISPMR). She participates as executive committee member of Turkish Society of PMR Specialists. She is also a member of World Institute-of-Pain (WIP), International Association for-the-study-of-Pain (IASP), International Society of PMR (ISPMR) and several national organizations related with her profession. She will chair the ESL 2024 which will be held in Istanbul.
