Learning Objectives:

To understand the complexities involved in the diagnosis of post-thrombotic syndrome, the inadequacies of the current scoring systems and be aware of the UIP initiatives in this field.
To understand the controversies and the evidence for acute intervention in the management of VTE.
To review the regulatory databases on the reported serious adverse events of venous occlusion systems.
