Rapid Fire Cases: What Would I Do? aims to bring together professionals in venous and lymphatic disorders to interactively exchange knowledge, discuss emerging trends, and explore innovative ideas. We have carefully designed the symposium to encompass a diverse range of case presentations. We will be covering superficial and deep venous issues, including iliofemoral obstruction (May-Thurner Syndrome and DVT) and acute iliofemoral DVT. There will be five cases along with a Q&A session so that participants will have opportunities to interact with the key opinion leaders.

The session is suitable for doctors, residents, sonographers, nurses, and allied health professionals in the phlebology field

Learning Objectives:

  • After the session, participants will have a strong understanding that the goals of varicose vein treatment are to relieve symptoms, prevent serious complications such as skin ulcers, deep vein thrombosis, etc., and improve overall appearance of the affected areas.
  • Participants will learn what happens when varicose veins are left untreated, such as leg ulcers, hyperpigmentation, spontaneous bleeding, lipdermatosclerosis, deep vein thrombosis, and/or superficial thrombophlebitis. Varicose veins, when left untreated, can lead to leg ulcers, hyperpigmentation, spontaneous bleeding, lipdermatosclerosis, deep vein thrombosis and/or superficial thrombophlebitis.
  • Participants will explore various perspectives from different thought leaders in Phlebology to understand different treatment options and methods.
