Elica Inagaki went to Emory University in Atlanta, GA for her undergraduate studies & graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience & Behavioral Biology. Before going to medical school at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI, she worked as a nurse technician at the Emory University Hospital. In 2012, she graduated from medical school with Doctor of Medicine with Honors in Research Distinction. She completed her General Surgery Residency at Boston Medical Center, a hospital affiliated with Boston University School of Medicine, located in Boston, MA. During her residency, Elica participated in a vascular surgery & vascular medicine research fellowship under the NIH T32 Immunobiology of Trauma Fellowship grant. During her research fellowship, Elica participated in several research presentations in local & national conferences and successfully published five first-author papers in peer-reviewed journals. After completing her residency, Elica completed her Vascular Surgery fellowship at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA. She currently works as a Staff Vascular Surgeon at Lake Washington Vascular in Bellevue, WA.
