Nigel Phelan earned his M.B. B.Ch. B.A.O. (Medical Degree) from Trinity College Dublin (Medical Degree) and his M.Ch. (Master of Surgery) from Royal College of Surgeons. He is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (M.R.C.S.). Presently, he is the Chief Medical Officer at InVera Medical Ltd. where he is responsible for venous disease scientific research, design and implementation of pre-clinical and clinical strategy, and serving as clinical product evangelist for InVera’s medical device for venous disease treatment. His current research interests include superficial venous disease recurrence, vein wall ablation techniques and imaging, and superficial venous anatomy modelling.
