Graduated in Medicine in 1974 by the Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo - Sorocaba Medical Faculty, and make residence in General Surgery . Specialized in Angiology and Vascular Surgery.
In the last 49 years he dedicated full time in hospitals and his private clinic in Sorocaba (Brazil) working in public and private medicine attending patients
Author of publications in Brazil (Portuguese language), in Latin America (Spanish Language), in Italy (Italian language) and in International Scientific Magazine (English Language) about the Phlebology field.
Active participation in numerous congresses, symposium as speaker and chairman worldwide.
Organized congresses, conferences, courses and symposia, national (Brazil), in Latin America and in other countries.
Was the president of the Brazilian Society of Phlebology and Lymphology for two terms. He is currently honorary president of that Society.
Honorary president of the Pan America Society of Phlebology and Lymphology and Argentinian Society of Phlebology and Lymphology..
Honorary member of several societies of Phlebology throughout Latin America and several countries around the world: American College of Phlebology, Australasian College of Phlebology and other,
Was the president and organizer of the XV World Congress of the International Union of Phlebologie (UIP) in Rio de Janeiro in 2005.
Was elected Vice President of the UIP in 2005.and President of the UIP, for a period 2011 to 2015.
Currently is the Emeritus President of UIP/IUP (Union Internationale de Phlebologie / International Union of Phlebology).
Speaks Portuguese (mother tongue), Spanish, Italian, English and French.
