Kathleen J. Ozsvath, MD, is a board-certified vascular surgeon. Her practice provides comprehensive vascular services, with diagnosis and treatment of peripheral arterial disease, stroke, aneurysm, and venous disease. Venous treatments include sclerotherapy, phlebectomy, and endovenous therapy and deep venous pathology diagnosis and treatment. She also has extensive experience in wound care. She is a member of the St Peters Vascular Associates and Chief of Surgery at Samaritan Hospital in Troy NY. She has specific interest in womens vascular disease, pelvic venous pathology, and health care advocacy. She is involved in deep venous disease research.
Dr Ozsvath earned her medical degree at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas. She completed a surgical residency, a surgical research fellowship, and a chief residency at St. Luke’s - Roosevelt Hospital Center (now known as Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West), affiliated with Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York, NY. She then completed a vascular surgery fellowship at Albany Medical Center, NY.
A fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr Ozsvath has been an active member and committee chair for multiple medical societies. She is presently the President Elect of the Eastern Vascular Society, and she serves as Membership Counsel Chair on the American Venous Forum Executive Board. Dr. Ozsvath serves as Secretary on the board of directors of Intersocietal Accreditation Commission.
Dr Ozsvath has been an invited speaker at many regional, national, and international medical congresses
