Lise Maren Kloosterman graduated with honors as a physiotherapist from Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen in 2011. After working as a practicing physiotherapist, she pursued a master's degree in Clinical Health Sciences alongside her work. She obtained her master's degree in 2020. In 2021, she began her doctoral research on the "Interdisciplinary Diagnosis and Treatment of Lipoedema." This research is a collaboration between the research group Healthy Ageing, Allied Health Care and Nursing at Hanze University of Applied Sciences, the Center of Expertise for Lymphovascular Medicine at Nij Smellinghe Hospital in Drachten, the University Medical Center Groningen, and Vrije Universiteit Brussel. In addition, Lise Maren works as a lecturer in the Physiotherapy program at Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen.
