Malay Patel is a vascular-endovascular surgeon and phlebologist in private practice in Ahmedabad, India.
He has a special interest in treating superficial venous insufficiency with ultrasound guide chemical endoablation with sclerosant foam
He was the founding president of the Venous Association of India(VAI) and was instrumental in getting VAI a member of the UIP. He was a member of the executive committee of the UIP from 2013 to 2022.
He encouraged nations that did not have their phlebology societies to form their phlebology societies and become part of the UIP.
