Dr. Carl Fastabend, MD, FACC, DABVLM, RPVI is the founder and director of the Vein Center of Southwest Louisiana and is a senior partner of the Imperial Health medical group in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology, he has practiced Interventional Cardiology in Southwest Louisiana for nearly 40 years. In 2011, Dr. Fastabend established the Vein Center of Southwest Louisiana with the goal of providing comprehensive venous care. This led to limiting his practice exclusively to venous and lymphatic disease in 2015. He has participated in important clinical research projects and has been a speaker at major venous symposia. He has large experience in deep venous disease and is an educator and speaker in this area. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. Dr. Fastabend is a member of the AVLS and the AVF, and he serves on the Health Advocacy Committee of the AVLS and is a director of the ABVLM.
