Dr. Carlos Arturo Hinojosa Becerril, MD, MSc, is a distinguished Angiologist and Vascular Surgeon, currently serving as Subdirector of Clinical Research at the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition Salvador Zubirán (INCMNSZ). Graduating as a Surgeon from the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico, he further honed his skills in General Surgery at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, before specializing in Angiology and Vascular Surgery at McMaster University, Canada. Concurrently, he obtained his MSc in Clinical Epidemiology.
Dr. Hinojosa Becerril's leadership skills were highlighted during his tenure as the President of the Mexican Society of Angiology, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery (SMACVE) from 2020 to 2023. As a Titular Professor of Angiology and Vascular Surgery at both U.N.A.M and INCMNSZ, he passionately contributes to the academic advancement of his field. He is recognized as a National Investigator Level II by CONACYT, and is a member of several prestigious medical societies, including the American College of Surgeons.
His remarkable academic contributions include editing 8 books, authoring over 220 articles and abstracts in high-impact indexed journals, and speaking at over 295 national and international congresses. With his research cited in over 800 projects, Dr. Hinojosa Becerril's expertise and achievements cement his esteemed position within the field of Angiology and Vascular Surgery.
