Judy Holdstock has over 35 years’ experience in Medical and Vascular Ultrasound. For the past 25 years she has worked in collaboration with Professor Mark Whiteley and The Whiteley Clinic group developing an expert international professional service backed by extensive independent research into the diagnosis and treatment of Venous reflux disorders and Varicose vein related conditions. Along with Professor Whiteley she performed the first minimally invasive endothermal ablation in the UK in March 1999. Judy developed her protocol for extended venous duplex ultrasound of complex leg vein reflux patterns in 1999 and an interest in and protocol for Transvaginal ultrasound to assess Pelvic vein reflux disorders in 2000/01. These protocols have been refined and developed with experience and data from thousands of patients and with liaison with The Whiteley Clinics’ specialist Surgeons and Radiologists. She leads a team of six specialist Sonographers with extensive experience in Gynaecology Ultrasound and 3 further Vascular Technologists. Judy has extensive experience teaching and training her own colleagues and to national and international delegates through the College of Phlebology. She presents her protocols, data and research findings internationally. Judy is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience with all Sonographers and Medical practitioners to aid the advancement of understanding and treatment of Venous reflux disorders.
