Dr. Yogen Kanthi is a cardiologist and vascular medicine specialist at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute. He is a physician scientist with a clinical and research interest in vascular inflammation and thrombosis. He is a Lasker Investigator at the National Institutes of Health, and Associate Professor at the University of Michigan Medical School. Dr. Kanthi’s team's contributions to science include important discoveries in the inflammatory causes of venous thrombosis including in COVID-19. His long-term goal as a physician scientist is to develop new treatments for highly morbid vascular diseases that affect millions of people each year.
