Dr. Suresh Vedantham, Professor of Radiology & Surgery and Assistant Dean for Clinical Research at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO, is an experienced Interventional Radiologist who specializes in the delivery and clinical investigation of image-guided therapies for venous thromboembolism. Dr. Vedantham was honored to serve as the 2017-2018 President of the Society of Interventional Radiology; as national Principal Investigator of the landmark, multicenter, NIH-sponsored ATTRACT and C-TRACT Trials; and as national co-Principal Investigator of the NIH-sponsored PE-TRACT Trial, that are defining the appropriate role of catheter-based therapy in the management of venous thromboembolism.
