Michael Toborek graduated from the Medical University of Lublin in 2010, and then he completed a specialization internship in radiology and diagnostic imaging at the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, Teching Hospital No 4 in Lublin. He obtained the title of specialist in 2017.
Since his studies, he has been interested in minimally invasive procedures and since completing them, he has been working continuously in the Interventional Radiology Department, Teaching Hospital No 1 in Lublin, since 2018 as the deputy head.
His particular interests are embolization procedures - in the treatment of vascular malformations, pelvic venous disorders, peripheral aneurysms, leaks into the aneurysm sac after EVAR procedures. He was fascinated by the variety and complex treatment of vascular malformations, which he has been treating since 2013, and the treatment of vascular malformations using ETOH was the subject of his doctoral thesis. Additionally, he is interested in angioplasty of central venous stenoses and occlusions, treatment of dialysis fistulas and minimally invasive treatment of PAD.
Participant of several dozen conferences and workshops in Poland and Europe.
He is the husband of Catherine and the father of four children: Hannah, Stanley, Alexandra and Alice.
