Doctor of Physical Therapy
Pelvic Health and Performance Center
Sammamish, Washington, United States
Dr. Julie Baron PT, DPT, CSCS, PCES is a pelvic floor physical therapist and the Director of the Pelvic Health & Performance Center in Bellevue, WA. Dr. Baron's clinical interests include the treatment of pelvic venous disorders-a disease process that she has experienced as a patient herself and as a clinician treating patients with PeVD, chronic pelvic pain, and pelvic floor dysfunction.
Her extensive background in prenatal/postpartum care, pelvic floor therapy, orthopedics, and postural restoration augment her comprehensive approach to patient care. Dr. Baron's holistic approach allows for the thorough identification of musculoskeletal issues and/or compensatory patterns in patients, with the goal of optimizing diaphragmatic excursion and maximizing venous return to improve client outcomes.
As an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Section on Pelvic Health and the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Julie has presented her original research at annual state conferences; led symposiums on various orthopedic conditions; and provided webinars to health care providers on the role of pelvic PT in the treatment of PeVD. She remains active in the research community with her publications on virtual reality’s role in rehabilitation and the role of a physical therapist in screening patients for depression. Julie continues to further the profession through her medical missions to communities in Haiti and in her collaborations with the Special Olympics.
