Dr. Richard Danylewick is a Vascular Surgeon certified with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine.
Originally from Montreal, he completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Sherbrooke, his General Surgery Residency at McGill University, and his Vascular Surgery Fellowship at the University of Montreal.
He began his practice in Vascular Surgery in 1992 in Joliette, Quebec, and returned to Montreal in 1999, beginning his career in phlebology including the application of ultrasound vein mapping prior to venous surgery improving the technical results of surgical treatment.
He has been performing endovenous laser ablation since 2006 and continues to develop new skills and technical approaches in this evolving area of phlebology.
His current practice is located in Laval, Quebec.
Dr Danylewick is a member of several medical societies, including the American Venous and Lymphatic Society, the American Venous Forum, and the Canadian Society of Phlebology, where he serves as Secretary General.
He frequently presents at medical conferences, and is active in teaching future practitioners in phlebology, including trainees of the McGill Vascular Surgery Residency Program.
He currently holds an appointment as Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, McGill University.
