Learning the CEAP Venous Classification System (Workshop)

In the this workshop the CEAP system will be explained in detail. Its impact on clinical practice and research will be emphasized. DIfferent case scenaria will be presented to be familiarized with the use of CEAP and avoid mistakes. Interactive discussion with experts will clear any doubts and allow for better communication in patients with chronic venous disease.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the C (Clinical Class) designation of asymptomatic (‘a’) or symptomatic (‘s’) patients.
  • Identify the fundamentals of the CEAP classification based on objective Etiology (E), Anatomical (A), and Pathophysiology (P) findings.
  • Identify Chronic Venous Disorders (CVD) on varying degrees of severity.
  • Increase the user’s knowledge of patient evaluation through case explanations provided.
