Ultrasonography

Non-Venous Ultrasound Findings in the Vein Clinic (Beyond Varicose Veins)

During this session faculty will discuss various non-venous findings encountered during venous sonography including pathology that can clinically mimic venous disease as well as incidental findings.
Topics will include non-venous findings during LE venous ultrasound, what to do when the clinical presentation and images don't correlate and review of upper extremity venous duplex and LE arterial ultrasound.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify various non-venous pathology on venous imaging examinations.
  • Know the main causes of extrinsic venous compression.
  • Assess the arterial system abnormalities.
