Lipedema is an advancing field. This session will review the latest of key topics in lipedema including imaging, pain, the role of distress, use of supplements, hormones, nutrition and vein treatment in lipedema

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the latest findings in lipedema key topics including imaging, pain, the role of distress, use of supplements, hormones, nutrition and vein treatment in lipedema .
  • Increase their knowledge about the mechanism of pain (nociceptive, neuronal and central sensitization) in relation to the potential mechanisms for lipedema pain.
  • Recognize the role of distress in lipedema pain and the importance of pain education (retrain pain).
